True Nature: Yoga and Art Mini Retreat | July 26th & August 16th, 9am-1pm
Experience Freedom and our Union with Nature through a Mindful, Sensory Yoga-Hike and Integration through Watercolor Painting with Artist Sandi Wilson and myself, Elizabeth McCarthy, LCPC, RYT, Saturdays July 26th & August 16th 9:00-1:00. $115 includes guided 2-hour yoga and forest bathing hike, painting supplies, art education, light fare, beverages, and kind community.
Forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku is the Japanese art of immersing yourself in nature through your five senses. It has been found to lower blood pressure, increase concentration and creativity, improve mood, boost creativity, and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.
No yoga or art experience is necessary. Please bring or wear a pair of boots or shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. We will have two small stream crossings. The terrain is hilly, so moderate in difficulty. However, this will be a slow, mindful hike with stops for standing yoga forms.
